Mohaned "Cherryo" Walied (Arabic: ‏مهند وليد) is the jungler for mousesports.

Biography

Cherryo lives in Cairo, Egypt but was born in Kuwait. He started playing games at the age of 9. His first game being Call of Duty, he became a big fan of the series. Entering the SMITE scene, he became notorious for - in his words - "being a bad ranked player", so he sniped pro players' games in order to learn from them. Eventually EmilZy recognized his talent and picked him up for his team.

After SPL Season 2 EU Summer, Cherryo moved to mid lane in Upcoming Stars, replacing xFrostie.[1] Shortly after, on July 22nd, Cherryo left Upcoming Stars.[2] Two weeks later, he joined London Conspiracy as a substitute.[3] After having replaced ASoggySandal for 4 sets at the end of SPL Season 2 EU Fall, it was later announced he would move from substitute to jungle.[4] On January 1st, 2016 he announced he would leave London Conspiracy, stating he wasn't enjoying the jungle role as the main reason.[4]

Cherryo's departure from his team was one of many during the end of Season 2, and in the aftermath, he joined Torpedo as a substitute. However, he left one month later. Badgah, the former Fnatic support, then scouted him for a new team. Cherryo accepted the offer, joining Team Leftovers as their midlaner. Despite his dislike of the jungle role, he was forced to play it for the team's performance midway through the Spring Split, trading roles with the unaptly named Jungler. After the Spring Split ended, Badgah and Jungler left the team, leaving captainship of the team to hunter player Arkkyl. Cherryo moved back to the jungle role after TheDarkDodo joined as a midlaner and Team Leftovers was sponsored by Sanguine Esports, retaining that role for the remainder of the season.

Trivia

  • Despite being born in Kuwait, he actually is of Egyptian nationality.
  • He loves cherries.
  • He is studying mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University in Cairo.
  • He owns a cat named Douglas.
  • His PC is notably low quality, rarely reaching 40 FPS. Due to his residence in Egypt, he typically has over 200 ping in-game. In face of these obstacles, he has been noted by players and casters to be a "LANimal", meaning a player who does exceptionally well at LAN events although they may not usually do well online.
  • He has stated that he will not retire until he has won the SMITE World Championship at least once.
